The event is dedicated to the main product on Italian tables and takes place over two days. Visits to ancient bakeries are planned to discover forgotten traditions and flavours. Maiolo, in the Rimini hinterland, is best known for its characteristic bread, made with local flours and using traditional methods celebrated with this festival, during which the village ovens are lit and products are offered to participants.

Bread is also the subject of a widespread museum consisting of about fifty ovens scattered throughout the territory dating back to the early 19th century, of which about 10 are active and working for ancient and traditional bread-making, bearing witness to the local farming culture.

The town still preserves its hamlets, old farmhouses, and small squares, and has always been a tourist destination for the historic Maioletto Fortress, from which a fantastic panorama can be seen.
